How to Measure Your Garage Door ?
Measure in inches. Write down each number accurately—reprints cost time if wrong.
- Count panels
Look at the door and count horizontal sections (most have 4–5). - Label panels
Number from bottom up:
Panel 1 = bottom
Panel 5 = top (example) - Measure width
Measure the flat usable surface across the door (full width).
Note: You may need to trim around brackets or remove/reinstall them for full coverage. - Measure each panel height
Measure the height of every individual panel (they often vary).
Typical: 18–24" each.
Example:
Panel 1: 20"
Panel 2: 24"
Panel 3: 24"
Panel 4: 24"
Panel 5: 20"
Do not assume panels are the same height. - Choose side
Outside (exterior) or Inside (interior)?
Inside install: We trim ¼" off the top of each panel for smooth operation.

No, the door needs to be metal so the magnet can work. Doors also need to have a solid backing (no foam-insulated or non-metallic panels

What happens if I need to change something after I order?
Once artwork is approved and production starts, changes are limited to protect your custom order.
